Our unique tiny home is perfect for your staycation or out-of-town guests.
Sometimes it is nice to just get away. Even if away isn’t very far. Or maybe you love your visiting family or friends but don’t want them in your space or don’t have the room. We have the perfect solution for you! Now booking through Airbnb.
Your cottage is private with views of a lush vegetable garden. It has everything you need to cook most meals. You have local grocers and plenty of local food/drink and shopping options nearby. Walk the neighborhood, visit parks, hike to falls, visit the hens, or just sit in the garden/covered patio with a book and one of the cats.
Your space is a tiny home at about 304 sf, built in 2019.
The sleeping options include a comfy Simmons Deep Sleep queen-sized mattress or use a pull-out single underneath. There are also two, twin foam mattresses in the loft. The loft can be accessed by a sliding ships ladder (best for older kids and adults capable of safely using a ladder). The ladder is steep and doesn’t have railing. Once in the loft, the ceiling is low, so don’t try to stand up.
The space feels big with 10 ft high walls and a 15 ft vaulted ceiling. It feels spacious with warm accents and is well lit with natural light from two large garden windows, a glass door, two smaller loft windows and two solar tubes plus plenty of soft lights throughout.
Enjoy views of the garden from inside the cottage or sit outside in one of the outdoor seating areas. The WiFi extends into the garden with an additional access point on the patio. Visit with one of the three friendly cats or the chickens in the garden.
We grow a variety of veggies and fruit in the garden. In the summer and fall, there are flowers and veggies growing. Your are welcome to browse the kitchen garden for ingredients or just hang out and enjoy the garden on Adirondack chairs under the apple tree or on the covered patio.
The space used to be a 100 sf garage, built in the late 1920s. We took it down piece by piece and salvaged much of the old-growth, tight-grain Doug fir wood. You can see that history and character showcased today as we made it into the trim, shelves and loft railing.
Your hosts live next door in the main house. We will assume you want to be left alone unless you say — otherwise we are happy to meet in the garden or even share a meal or beverage.
